Henry Lafayette Gillespie (1862-1954) was born in Iowa. He received his BD from Lombard Theological School and was ordained as a Universalist minister in 1896. He served pastorates in Ohio and Iowa. Gillespie retired from regular service in 1904, but continued his Universalist ministry through occasional service and mission work. He also authored "The Universalist Church and Freemasonry," a pamphlet published in 1910. He died in Manchester, Iowa, at the age of 91. From the guide to t...
